Loudness Chart Key Settings Menu

This menu is used to define the keys that will be available in the instrument's and the local Control Bar and to define the routing of the global keyboard.

Please note:

The keys shown in this menu do not affect the instrument's appearance directly. Instead of that, they determine whether or not a key will be available in the instrument's specific Control Bar, specific keyboard, or the "Global Keyboard" instrument. All keys switched to "on" in the Control Bar section will appear in the Control Bar of this instrument. All keys switched to "on" in the Keyboard section will appear in the screen keyboard of this instrument. In the "Global Keyboard" section, individual instrument key functions can be assigned to keys defined in the Global Keyboard instrument (see help page of Global Keyboard).

Depending on the selected Loudness Test Time Control mode, not all of the keys described below are available in the menu.

Control Bar section

All keys (as far as provided) set to "on" in this section will be available in the Control Bar of the Loudness Chart instrument.

• Clear View

This key is used to clear the display. The loudness measurement is not interrupted by this.

• Stretch

This key is used to show the whole measurement on the display area. The drawing of the graph is continued on the now displayed time grid.

• Time Select

Using this key holds the drawing of the graphs and opens another layer with selection and display options for the current measurement. At first, a white frame is put around the displayed time span. With the arrow keys the frame can be moved on the time line to find a specific point of the measurement. The displayed time stamps left and right above the horizontal bars show the start and end positions of the framed section. With other keys the frame can be scaled down and its refined content can be scaled up for evaluation. The back key is used to get back to the previous layer and to continue drawing the graphs.

With the activated "Time Select" key another layer with the following functions is available:

<–	Moves the frame in steps of the marked time span to the left
–>	Moves the frame in steps of the marked time span to the right
–>\| \|<–	Scales down the marked time span, symmetrically from the left and the right each with one step, if possible
<–\| \|–>	Scales up the marked time span, symmetrically to the left and the right each with one step, if possible
Magnify	Scales up the content of the frame, if it is not using the whole display area
Back	Switches back to the previous layer and to normal operation of the Chart instrument

• Time Range

Using this key holds the drawing of the graphs and opens another layer with selection options for the adjustment of the time grid on the coordinate system. Beside the keys for dividing the time grid into hour or minute units, also keys for expanding or reducing the time grid in steps of ten or single steps are available. The back key is used to get back to the previous layer and to continue drawing the graphs.

With the activated "Time Range" key another layer with the following functions is available:

Hour/Min	Selection for deviding the display into hour or minute units
+10	Expansion of the displayed time grid in steps of 10 hours or 10 minutes
–10	Reduction of the displayed time grid in steps of 10 hours or 10 minutes
+1	Expansion of the displayed time grid in steps of 1 hour or 1 minute
–1	Reduction of the displayed time grid in steps of 1 hour or 1 minute
Back	Switches back to the previous layer and to normal operation of the Chart instrument

• Start

This key is used to start the loudness measurement.

This key is used to stop the loudness measurement.

• Reset Loudness

This key is used to reset the loudness summing bargraphs.

This key is used to halt the loudness measurement.

• Import

Using this key opens the Chart Export/Import sub menu to import compatible stored data of a Loudness measurement from an USB flash drive.

• Export

This key is only active after the Loudness measurement has been stopped. Using the activated key opens the Chart Export/Import sub menu to export measurement data to an USB flash drive.

Keyboard section

All keys (as far as provided) set to "on" in this section will be available in the screen keyboard of this instrument. Using the view function, this keyboard can be positioned and scaled on the screen like an instrument. If all keys are set to "off" here, no specific keyboard for this instrument will be available for screen placement in View menu.

Global Keyboard section

This section is used to assign individual instrument functions to Global Keyboard keys. In this way, one single Global Keyboard key can control functions of several instruments even if they are placed in different Audio Groups. Also, using the Global Keyboard, instrument keys can be controlled externally using the GPIO interface of the TouchMonitor. To assign an instrument key to a Global Keyboard key, first select that instrument key in the "Global Keyboard" section. Then, assign it to one of the available Global Keyboard keys in the "Selection" area.

Please note:

The keys in this section will be available only after the "Global Keyboard" instrument was created in the Non-Audio Group before. Also, at least one key must be set to the "Instrument" key function mode in the Global Keyboard instrument's menu.
