Licences Menu

The TouchMonitor features a modular software concept that enables the user to add new functions and instruments to his unit at any time. This menu page is used to view the licences currently installed and still available on the TouchMonitor and to acquire new licences. Instruments and functions already activated are marked with an "Installed" sign behind them. Instruments and functions that are not installed are marked with a “Order” key behind them.

  

Please note:
Software licence "SW20021: TC RTW" allows the conversion of TC electronic's TM7 and TM9 units to RTW units. This software option is mandatory for the installation of licenses with upcoming product functionality on TC units.

  

Please proceed as following to acquire a new licence:

1.

Insert an USB flash drive to one of the USB ports on the unit’s rear panel.

2.

Touch the "Order" key of the instrument or function you want to acquire a licence for.

3.

Touch the "Export Requests" key. The TouchMonitor will establish a folder structure on the USB flash drive. In the subfolder /rtw/licence, an encrypted licence request file will be stored. This file is named in the form "nnn_nnn.lrf" depending on the individual serial number of the TouchMonitor hardware unit.

4.

On the next menu page, the successful export of the Licence request file will be confirmed.

5.

Please send the request file saved on the USB flash drive to your sales representative.

After purchasing the licence, the requested licence file will be sent back to you. This file will only be valid for the individual unit the request file was created on! The licence file will have the format "nnn_nnn.lf". It should be stored in the same directory on the USB flash drive (/rtw/licence).

  

Please note: The USB flash drive shall always be correctly unmounted. Not until then remove it from your computer! Disconnecting without unmounting may damage the copied file!

7.

After inserting the stick to one of the TouchMonitor´s USB slots, please enter the "Licences" section of the menu.

8.

The licence file will be recognized, and an "Import Licence" key will be shown. Touching this key imports the licence to the unit.

9.

After rebooting the TouchMonitor, the licenced instrument or function will be available permanently.

  

Please note:
Some licences require others to be installed first before you can acquire them:

•

The "SSA" licence (not available in TMR7) requires the "SW20001: Multichannel" and "SW20002: Loudness" licence to be activated.

•

The "Radar" licence (not available in TMR7) requires the "SW20002: Loudness" licence to be activated.

•

The "BLITS" licence (not available in TMR7) requires the "SW20001: Multichannel" licence to be activated.

•

The "Logging Data Server" licence requires the "SW20002: Loudness" licence to be activated.

•

The "ISA"-Licence (not available in TMR7) requires the "SW20001: Multichannel", "SW20002: Loudness" and "SW20004: SSA" licences to be activated.
  

Please note:
The TouchMonitor software is continuously complemented with new software options. On the licence menu page, only licencing options are shown that were already available for the model and at the release date of the software version installed on the machine. You might experience that the most recent licences are not available on your machine until you update to the newest software version. It is recommended to check & update the TouchMonitor´s software at regular intervals.
