Select Loudness Menu

This menu is used to select the standard for loudness measurements in the current audio group. When entering this menu during initial setup of a newly created audio group, it shows just the "Loudness Type" option. When returning to this menu later, additional loudness parameters will be available for customization of the loudness measurement. The available options depend on the loudness standard selected.

Please note:
The selected loudness standard cannot be changed once the initial audio group creation has been completed.

• Loudness Type
This key is used to define the method used for measuring loudness. Beside Sound Pressure Level (SPL) measurement, the available options represent loudness measurements conforming to all relevant international standards. Also, a customer specific loudness measurement is available. The selected loudness type will be used for all single channel and summing loudness measurements in any instrument of this audio group that uses loudness measurement.

Options:

SPL | ITU BS.1771 | EBU R128 | ATSC A/85 | ARIB | CALM | OP-59 | AGCOM | LEQ(M) | TASA | SAWA | Custom

Default value:

none

Please note:
Having selected one of the loudness standards ITU BS.1771, EBU R128, ATSC A/85, ARIB, CALM, OP-59, AGCOM, LEQ(M), TASA, or SAWA, most parameters will be fixed to the values recommended in that standard. If you prefer to edit those parameters individually, select the "Custom" loudness type instead.

Please note:
On TMR7 Smart the "Custom" mode is not available.
