Preset Menu

This menu page is used to define and edit the attributes of new or existing presets. When entering this page during creation of a new preset from scratch, some of the functions described might not yet be available. In this case, the unit at first expects the user to input certain parameters, for example creating the first group. In contrast, when editing an already existing preset, all functions will be shown.

Functions in the left (upper) area

• Preset Name
A new preset is named automatically using the format "P-nn" although this name can be freely edited anytime by the user. To do this, touch the key showing the preset name and edit it using the on-screen keyboard.

• Output Routing
The "Output Routing" menu entered with this key is used to define individual routings from digital inputs to digital outputs.

• Select Group
When editing an existing preset, all groups already defined for this preset will be displayed here. To edit, duplicate or erase any of the groups or to create a new one, please use the keys in the left (upper) part of the control bar described below.

• "No group defined ..."
This message will be displayed instead of "Select Group" (see above) in case the Preset page is entered for the first time during creation of a new preset from scratch. Use the keys "New Audio" or "New Non Audio" described below to create a new audio or non-audio group.

Control Bar functions

• New Audio
This key is used to create a new Audio group. Audio groups may contain one or more instruments showing parameters of audio signals, for example PPM level meters or AES status data displays. All instruments of an audio group share the same signal source selection.

Please note:
In units without the "Multichannel" software licence installed, only up to 4 audio groups with a maximum of 4 channels may be defined (up to 4 x "Single" | up to 2 x "Stereo" | 1 x Stereo and up to 2 x "Single" – NOT 3.1).

Please note:
Each preset may contain a maximum of 8 Audio groups and 1 Non Audio group. The key "New Audio" will not be available if the current preset already contains 8 Audio groups.

• New Non Audio
This key is used to create a new Non Audio group. The Non Audio group may contain one or more instruments that are not related to audio input signals, such as clocks, hardware status monitors, or the Global Keyboard for the simultaneous function control of multiple instruments.

Please note:
Each preset may contain only one Non Audio group. The key "New Non Audio" will not be available if the current preset already contains a Non Audio group.

• Edit Group
This key is used to edit an existing Audio or Non Audio group. After selecting this key, touch the group to be edited in the "Select Group" section. The "Audio Group" or "Non Audio Group" menu page will be shown.

• Duplicate Group
This key is used to duplicate an existing group. The duplicated group can then be used as starting point for individual edits. After selecting this key, touch the group to be duplicated in the "Select Group" section. Except its name, the newly created group will be identical to the original group. The new group's name is the name of the original group complemented by a consecutive number. The name can be edited anytime using the "Edit Group" option (see above).

• Delete Group
This key is used to delete an existing group. After selecting this key, touch the group to be deleted in the "Select Group" section. The selected group will be deleted from the currently edited preset.

• View
This key opens an editor used for positioning and scaling of all instruments and keyboards that are defined in the groups of the current preset.
