Special Menu

This menu page contains various system functions used only in special applications. These parameters are independent of the loaded preset. For this reason, settings made in this menu are not altered by loading a new preset.

• Demo Mode
In Demo mode, the unit replaces all external input signals by an internally generated test signal sequence. In this mode, the TouchMonitor's instruments can be demonstrated without any audio signal applied to the inputs. After activating the Demo mode, the unit may need some time before the Demo mode is fully functional.

• Mouse Acceleration
This function is used to edit the mouse acceleration factor. Adapting this value can make the use of an external USB mouse for GUI control more convenient. Mouse acceleration only applies when the mouse is moved with a speed exceeding the "acceleration limit" value set below. The new value is only activated after a system reboot.

Options:

range from 1 to 3 in 0.1 steps

Default value:

2.0

• Mouse Accel. Limit
This function sets the mouse speed threshold above which mouse acceleration is activated. Higher values need higher mouse speeds for the acceleration to become active. The new value is only activated after a system reboot.

Options:

range from 1 to 10

Default value:

5

• Touch Screen Calibration
This function is used to re-align the touch screen control system of the unit. Sometimes, it may seem difficult to activate functions by touching their respective keys because the unit tends to activate an adjacent key instead of the intended one. In this case, use "Touch Screen Calibration" to perform a re-alignment. After activating this function, the screen turns black and shows a single cross in one display corner. Try to touch this mark as precisely as possible. This procedure is repeated until the re-alignment is finished and the unit returns to normal display mode.

Options:

Default value:

off

• Start Firmware Update: <Firmware Version>
This function is only available after an USB stick containing a firmware file newer than the installed one was inserted. The system update started with this key will take about 10 minutes. After this, the TouchMonitor will reboot automatically.

• Installed Version
This function is only available after an USB stick containing a firmware file was inserted. It displays the currently installed firmware version.

• Reboot
This function is used to restart the TouchMonitor operating system. This may be necessary for certain parameter edits to become effective or in case the system may not operate properly.
