Vectorscope Menu

This menu page is used to configure the Vectorscope instrument. This instrument displays the phase relationship between a selectable channel pair (Lissajous display). Four entities with 2 channels each are possible.

  

 
 


Common settings  

  

• AGC
The Vectorscope instrument features an Automatic Gain Control (AGC) enabling signals with various levels to be displayed properly. Using the AGC key, the release time of the AGC can be switched between fast and slow.

• Grid Line
This key is used to switch the grid lines shown in the instruments between fine and coarse.

• Colors
This key is used to change the colors used to display the signal and the grid. To change the colors, touch the color field for the signal or the grid and choose a new color in the color selector.

Initial Instrument Settings section  

This section is used to define some initial parameters of the Vectorscope. Using the Control Bar keys of the instrument, these parameters can also be switched without entering the menu. The Control Bar keys are configured in the menu accessed with the "Configure Keys" button (see below).

  

• Input
This key is only available if one of the surround channel modes was selected for the audio group the instrument is part of. It is used to select the channel pair to be displayed in the vectorscope starting in 2 Channel mode.

Options:

  

All channel pairs available in the surround format used by the audio group.

• Channel Mode
This key is only available if one of the surround channel modes was selected for the audio group the instrument is in. It is used to switch the vectorscope between 2 Channel and 4 Channel modes. In 4 Channel mode, the L/R channel pair is displayed only in the two upper quadrants while the lower quadrants always show the phase relationship between the LS and RS channels of the surround signal.

• Grid Type
This key is only available if the "Stereo" channel mode was selected for the audio group the instrument is in. In L/R mode, the grid consists of two diagonal lines. In M/S mode, the grid consists of a horizontal and a vertical line.

• Keys
The "Vectorscope Keys" menu entered with the "Configure" key is used to define the keys that will be available in the instrument's and the local Control Bar and to define the routing of the global keyboard.
