TouchControl 5 - Version 2

Version 2 is the most comprehensive software update for TouchControl 5 to date, significantly enhancing its versatility and performance. This major release introduces a powerful new view editor, expanded measurement tools, and extensive updates for full support of Dolby Atmos®-recommended speaker formats.

The New View Editor

First and foremost, Version 2 removes several previous limitations—giving you complete freedom to place any instrument in any view. You can now design a Monitoring View that includes metering instruments, create a Fader View with a loudness chart, or even build a dedicated Metering Page with full monitor control.

The possibilities are virtually limitless—and all of it comes with an enhanced, more intuitive user experience.

Enhanced Support for Dolby Atmos® Speaker Layouts

With Version 2, we’ve expanded the speaker format options to include Array Speakers, enabling TouchControl 5 to support any speaker layout recommended by Dolby, including advanced immersive configurations.

Dedicated Bass Management Outputs

This update also introduces a new technology in TouchControl 5: Dedicated Bass Management Outputs.
Traditionally, in a 7.1.4 setup, the LFE channel handles both the dedicated LFE signal and the redirected low-frequency content from bass management. Now, with dedicated BM outputs, you can route bass-managed low frequencies to separate subwoofers, allowing the LFE sub to handle only the LFE signal—a major step forward in flexibility and precision.

Dolby Atmos® Music Curve

And yes – while we’re on the subject of Dolby Atmos® – support for the Dolby Atmos® Music Curve is now built-in and can be enabled with a single click.

Enhanced Support for Dolby Atmos® Speaker Layouts

Version 2 introduces four powerful new metering tools for all current TouchControl 5 users:

Loudness Chart – Provides a clear overview of loudness levels over time.
Real-Time Analyzer (RTA) – Visualizes energy distribution across the frequency spectrum.
VectorScope – Displays stereo balance and imaging for precise spatial monitoring.
Stereo Correlator – Shows the correlation between two channels to assess phase coherence.

These additions further enhance TouchControl 5’s role as a comprehensive monitoring and metering solution.

Intercom Functionality

For facilities with multiple TouchControl 5 units installed, Version 2 introduces intercom capability via the new Input Instrument.

This feature allows you to mix an external audio source into your current monitoring signal. The Input Instrument also provides input trim control and can be muted when needed - making it ideal for streamlined, in-room communication between workstations.

TouchMonitor 5 - Version 1.1

TouchMonitor 5 receives a significant upgrade with Version 1.1, introducing both the new Real-Time Analyzer and the enhanced View Editor.

This update also brings greater flexibility - users can now create and manage multiple views, making it easier than ever to tailor the interface to different workflows and use cases.
